Semi Knocked Down (SKD)
SKD means that some components such as semi assembled segments of the chassis, body panels, dashboard, and interior trims may come in bulk “kits” to be assembled tothe main frame. This allows for more convenient and less expensive logistics costs. It also prepares the assemblers to be able to support the final bus with more knowledge as they have worked on the various components and structure during the assembly process.

SKD assembly facilitates assembly operations allowing localizedproduction. It enables the adaption of vehicles to specific market requirements, preferences, and regulations in a local sense and not from across the world.
