Refurbishment Requirements

Radiator and CAC

Engine Compartment will be thoroughly cleaned, the powerplant assembly removed, and all associated components including lines, hoses, harnesses, filterReplace the radiator and charge air cooler (CAC) assembly with a new Electric CAC and E-fan cooling system, including but not limited to:s, heaters, pumps, etc., to allow preparation for installation will be removed or protected.

  • New shroud and sealing enclosure

  • New fans

  • New mounts

  • New coolant

  • Surge tank pressure cap

  • Coolant level sensor sight glass

  • De-aeration lines

Drawbacks of Hydraulic Cooler:

  • Many components to deal with, such as hose failure, resulting in hydraulic fluid spillage and potential thermal events.

  • Inefficient cooling system with a hydraulic fan can lead to overheating and major engine failure, resulting in downtime.

Benefits of Electric Cooler:
‍

  • Eight independent fans.

  • In case of one fan failure, the remaining seven fans continue to operate, preventing engine overheating and potential damage.

  • Elimination of all hydraulic leaks.

  • Lighter weight system.

  • Due to a separate system not connected to the engine, there is a savings of 3-4 HP with a positive impact on fuel efficiency.

  • Additional benefits include the ability to program the fan to reverse cycle by a maintenance worker to clean the radiator cores, resulting in a more efficient cooling system and improved engine health and longevity.
